Meet Harry — Just one person supporting the British Jewish community.
My name is Harry, and I'm a Jewish activist supporting the British Jewish community. I was born in London, I live in the East Midlands, and I do all of this myself.
No organisation, no staff and no salary. I have a full-time job, and that comes first. This is my full-time hobby.

The Jewish Activist isn't an organisation. There are no staff, no committee and no board. It's me, Harry, doing what I can for the community I belong to.
Nobody pays me to do this. I have a full-time job, and it comes first; this is my full-time hobby.
I'm Jewish. I was born in London, I've lived in Berkshire, London and Hertfordshire, and these days I live in the East Midlands with my wife and our two cats.
Britain's Jewish community is small, but it gives a great deal: through its synagogues and schools, its charities and youth movements, and the volunteers who keep them all going.
No staff. No committee. No pay. Just one person, turning up.
My aim is simple: to support that community and help it flourish. Not just in London, not just in the East Midlands: everywhere.
Being just one person with a day job means I can't do everything. But I can turn up, lend a hand and speak up, and that's exactly what I do.
What I do
Three things, one person.
-
Support
Practical help for the synagogues, schools, charities and volunteers that make Jewish life in Britain possible.
-
Speak up
Standing up for British Jews, and against antisemitism, calmly and constructively.
-
Connect
Bringing people together, within the community and with our neighbours across the country.
